Zanzibar Island
The island is famous for its mix of exotic beaches, famous spice plantations, history (Stone Town being the capital) and diverse culture. Unguja (the main island in Zanzibar) is also home to many endangered species including the red colobus monkey and green turtle.

Kilwa Island
In its heyday, Kilwa was one of the principal ports of trade on the Indian Ocean, trading gold, ivory, iron, and enslaved people from interior Africa including the Mwene Mutabe societies south of the Zambezi River. Imported goods included cloth and jewelry from India, and porcelain and glass beads from China.

Mafia Island
Diving. Mafia Island and the surrounding smaller islands offer incredible diving experiences. In fact, Mafia Island is renowned in East Africa for its natural, vibrant reefs and amazing variety of tropical fish.

Pangani
Pangani is a town at the east coast of Tanzania, about 55 km south of Tanga. It used to be an important trading center during the colonial glory days, but today it is a quiet town which has witnessed little further development since. The beautiful and practically deserted beaches running north and south of the town rank as the best kept secret on the Tanzanian coast.

Pemba Island
Pemba Island is famous for the cultivation of cloves. This island is part of the Zanzibar Archipelago of Tanzania (coast of East Africa). It is in the Indian Ocean. Clove is the dried unopened flower buds of Syzygium aromaticum.

Bagamoyo
Bagamoyo is famous for many historical reasons. It is the oldest town in Tanzania and was the main port before Dar es Salaam’s heyday. It was also the site of the first mosque in East Africa currently known as Kaole Ruins. We toured the remnants of the mosque and tombs which date to the 7th century.

Dar-es-salaam
Located along the coast of the Indian Ocean, Dar es Salaam is the largest city in Tanzania and home to a wide range of people and cultures. Known for its beaches, islands, seafood and music, the city is brimming with a variety of activities for every type of tourist.
