National Museum and House of Culture
The National Museum of Tanzania is a consortium of five Tanzanian museums whose purpose is to preserve and show exhibits about the history and natural environment of Tanzania. The consortium developed from the National Museum of Dar es Salaam, established in 1934 by Tanganyika governor Harold MacMichael.

Village Museum
The Village Museum is an open air museum established in 1967 with duties of acquiring, researching and preserving the indigenous culture and architecture of Tanzania ethnic groups. This Museum represents Tanzanian rural life as it could have appeared until very recently.

Old Germany Boma
The Old Boma of Bagamoyo is one of the many historical buildings that are within the old town conservation area of Bagamoyo. It used to be an old state house that was built by the Germans at the end of the 19th century, with the sole purpose of being a residence for its leaders in the area

Catholic Historic Museum
Learn about how the first church (1876) helped to abolish slave trade in East Africa, The history of Dr David livingstone, the missionary who when he died, they carried his body from zambia to bagamoyo, where they travelled on foot for nine months to reach Bagamoyo, so that his body could be transported to London.

The Caravan Serai
The Caravan Serai, with Swahili-Islamic architecture is one of the place of memory in Bagamoyo historic town linked to the 19th Century ivory and slave trade activities. The two storey building was built in 1860s by Mr. Said Magram Awadh, an Arab trader who had a coconut plantation in Bagamoyo.

Bismarck Rock
Located at the shores of Lake Victoria, visitors can have a rest in the park and enjoy the stunning view of the Rock formation and the Lake. The rock is named after the German chancellor (1871-1890) Otto von Bismarck, still referring to the history of Mwanza founded in the colonial period of “German East Africa”.

Sukuma Museum
The Sukuma Museum is a community-based museum located in Mwanza, Tanzania. It was designed in 1968, and is dedicated to the preservation and display of artifacts related to the Sukuma culture.
